I’m shamelessly stealing the Mass Effect Month article series created by the always awesome Athena over on AmbiGaming in 2017 (which was the Mass Effect 10th anniversary) and turning it into one of those 30 day challenge thingys! Definitely check out Athena Veta’s great content on AmbiGaming and consider supporting her Video Game Relevancy Crusade (TM) on Patreon, if ya got a few bucks to spare.
Please Note: Enjoy… but be warned that there will be unmarked SPOILERS for all of the Mass Effect games. Read at your own risk!
Today’s Mass Effect series question: What is your favourite part of the games?
Always appreciate time with the people who are special to you. Never take anyone or anything in this galaxy for granted, eh. In the blink of an eye and for various reasons, close connections can simply cease to exist. But you will always have those treasured memories of the people who are now gone from your life. That is something to be grateful for!
My favourite moment in the Mass Effect trilogy is Liara’s farewell gift near the end of Mass Effect 3. She offered to share her memories with my Shepard in a special asari meld. I… almost cried during that scene. Liara is the super-BFF of my dreams and sharing such an intimate friend moment with her was truly amazing. It was so bittersweet, too. I had a bad feeling there would be no happy ending to my Shepard’s story, and this was really… goodbye.
In Andromeda, my favourite part was the movie night scene. After a few fetch quests, I was treated to a wonderful scene of the whole gang chillaxing together. It was so freaking magical! You could feel the close bonds of friendship between everyone. D’aww! I wish I had a group of close friends like that in reality.
